I recently purchased Corkart Lungo vinyl flooring, which is a floating floor with a cork backing and a click system. The boards measure 220 x 1800 x 10.8 mm. I'm unsure of where to begin laying the flooring in my room. Should I start at the door or from the opposite wall? I don't plan to remove the door frame, so I'll need to fit the boards underneath it, requiring some space on that side of the room. Logically, it seems best to start near the door with a full board and work towards the opposite wall. Is this the correct approach? I understand that the last board will need to be cut to fit. In that case, which direction should I lay the floorboards—should the groove (notch) face the door or the tongue? In the near future, I will extend the flooring from this room into the hallway, so I need to ensure the boards will click together seamlessly from the door into the hallway. Does the click system allow for laying from both directions? Thank you!
