dont know about anyone else but im turning more and more work away because customers want a half assed job done. why would i risk not doing it right and why would they? oh thats why £££££££s costs more in the long run.
I know exactly what you're saying! I seem to keep getting asked to quote for new builds/extensions (mainly extensions) lately and they all want floors putting in asap but don't like it when you start talking prep and dpm's. I've just priced a tasty job up that I really really wanted for someone that flips houses. Fresh two month old slab. She didn't want to spend the extra for the prep and dpm because she "is just selling the house and it'll eat into her margin". What do you do lads??? ****es me right off!!
do it the way she wants, get paid.. then hand your card to the new buyers on the way out saying 'gimme a call in a couple months when it pops' quids in!!
That's sounds so easy when you say it like that  Anyway, funny things happen...I got a call today of the customer. Appears I won...Result
