I'm not sure how to go about finding a good wood flooring fitter in Derby. Any advice (or recommendations) would be appreciated.

Advice - If he walks in with moisture testing equipment and is super paranoid about moisture, you're on the right track :D

Have you looked on the Bwfa website?

There's no-one local on the bwfa website. Do they turn up with moisture testing equipment when they're measuring up to give a quote or when they come to fit the wood?

before they fit the floor. If there is issues they need to be found before the flooring is sold. You can then quote to sort issues or change to a more suitable product

I am planning on engineered wood (German rustic oak, brushed and oiled) on a concrete floor.

do you have the sq meterage required and i can give you a rough quote, will need to do moisture tests before fitting but can give you some advice, generaly full stick to concrete ,would advise liquid dpm first to protect flooring also may need a high compression screed to smooth subfloor. is it a click system or t&g .
