Can't wait to pick up the latest addition to our Lagler armoury - the Trio. I would be grateful for any tips on using it from fine fellow finishers. There may be an expensive training course to learn all about it, but I'd rather find out 'on the job' and from people who are currently using the machine. Bob www.floorfixer.co.uk
I bought a new trio last year, and took up the offer of the PST training that comes at a reduced price when you buy the trio. Honestly it was worth the money. You won't regret it, there a great bunch at KHR and Pete is extremely knowledgeable. Word of advise, look into the lagler abrasives on your machines to, they last a lot longer than other brands on the market...
Good machine, pretty much idiot proof, we put our special people on it, as they cant do any damage ,only really good for finishing
Yes sometimes I think Its ok, I am doing something good for the community lol, Had one really special one yesterday ! Started a 3,000m2 sanding job and sent a lad along just to rough edge 3inch around the sides so they could fit a shiny Crome trunking, so that I don't have a shadow gap under the trunking and didn't have to go as close to the trunking when we do the job, the floors are bad and I said for now use 24 and 36grit,just take the worse off When I went back later in the day he had done around 2 to 3 foot from the wall !!! took him ages, I was expecting two to three rooms at least, he did two walls argh
Tried our new Lagler Trio out on some Parquet in a small hallway yesterday and was delighted at the finish it produced. I don't think a couple of days off attending a training course is needed for this as it is so easy to use. However, I can't help thinking that there may be other uses for it other than finishing, and may consider shelling-out for a discounted course if I end up purchasing a spare edger from KHR. Second hand Lagler edgers are difficult to come by and if anyone out there has one for sale, I would be interested. Thanks for all your replies. Bob www.floorfixer.co.uk
