Good to a see UK based decent forum for flooring, especially with a decent wood sub forum. I have spent far to long looking at forums stateside (which are very good) which although have a wealth of info, they use a lot of different products and machines to us... Anyway hope to help and also learn new things... Alex

Ha ha thanks for welcome guys.. Primarily the business is sanding, but over the last 4 years I have being laying a lot of herringbone floors. Started just replacing damaged blocks, making good where hearths and walls etc had been moved/changed, now I average a couple of full installs a month. I am slowly moving into engineered etc, I tend to sub that out to people but I like to research as much as possible about what I'm doing before I will go out and price work as I refuse to promise the earth to a client and then not deliver, as for me my reputation is everything..
