I know the likes of us fitters don't like scotia because we know it's a poor second choice to fitting under the skirting but I reckon a lot of customers don't mind it as long as it's well fitted and finished. If I were to do it in my home and had to use scotia I'd probably go for beading to match the skirting rather than the flooring.
Nice work. but dont bamboo smell when you cut it.strand wovens a real bitch on your blades as well dense as buggery.
yep indeedy Oddz, gives off a bl00dy aweful smell bamboo & fUrkin killer on the blades... also weighs a fr33kin tonne... this job was on a top / 3rd floor apartment in a swanky apartment block in Oxford, for Doctor, living by themselves. so as a gesture of good will i kindly offered, a few weeks prev to install, to drive up from a job i was on in Henley OT & receive the delivery for her, kerbside drop-off as standard - this was before she told me she was on 3rd f00kin floor!!!! so after lumping 45pks of 2.2m lengths of the wonderfully dense & heavy bamboo upto the apartment I was well & truly destroyed, couldn't even drive the van, had to rest my bod for 30mins... then had to go back to Henley OT & whack in 25+ eng.!!!! hey ho... PS - to cap it all when i installed the flooring there last week she made me 1 cuppa in 3 days. wa'sat about ay...?
lols, tried my very best Welsh charm but Moroccan hospitality & personality she was certainly amiss with... glad to finish & head back over the bridge on this one...
