Was asked by a shop I do work for to screed & fit amtico to a hallway of a 50s semi. Turned up to screed & discovered it’s possibly magnesite. Refused the job. They’ve now got some one else to complete the work starting next week who would screed over it. I know I’m in the right but how long will it take to fail if it is magnesite? Is it days? Years? Or not known?

I’ve seen one failed within a week, just wondering if it’s always quick or could be years down the line
