Hello there peeps, Is it possible to buy carberunderum stones for the wolf samba instead of buying the sole plate and stones as 200 and odd quid seems a rip off as the stones just bolt on and don't cost the earth lol. Or is there a alternative from Wirbel?
Just going over a accoustic factory floor to get rid of slight high points before fitting some loose lay lvt and carpet tiles. I'm surprised we can't buy the stones separately without buying the plate with stones attached? Just needs a light going over as apposed to the diamond grinder.
What is this copper disc that you speak of? Lol I have used a hand held diamond scabbler up to now. But have invested in a wolf samba I have only used the carborundum stones once to get rid of the fats on an underfloor heating job prior to screeding after going over a floor that was aproxa 8m X 4m the stones were half worn. All I need information on is can you buy the stones without the plate? And what is this copper disc you speak of you would think copper would leave a residue behind?
Hi m8 have you used this disc and what are its limitations I still have not had a reply on the stones and can they be replaced rather than buying the sole plate and stones?
I've never known anyone use carb stones on a buffer Sanding disc or a copper disc will sort out most things If it's really bad use a grinding disc
Excuse my stupidity but what are carb stone's used for? We have the spec sheet in the van but my colleuge has that to hand and I will take a sneaky peak tomorrow it's his way or the highway lol if he doesn't know it he makes it up lol!
A few people I know use a carb stone on a buffer. It does work well. Personally I use paper discs I think there fine.
Cheers The area is approximately two hundred and forty square metres and only needs a light sand as it is a machined accoustic floor and just needs a lite going over for loose lay/taccified lvt and carpet tiles
