A few months ago I had a water leak and I’m looking to reinstate the floor (with improvements).

I have a beam and block floor and I’d like to install underfloor heating & engineered wood on top.

(The engineered woods I’m looking at at from BritishHardwoods (can't post link as I'm new).

The supplier says only the 20mm is structural although both are suitable for UFH.)

I don’t have the depth for a typical screed so I am looking at the overfloor solutions.

I’ve been looking at a few including Polypipe Overlay, Polypipe Overlay Lite and ProWarm Low Profile.

Most UFH suppliers say the maximum thickness of the engineered wood should be 18 mm.

Obviously I want my floor to heat up quickly but I want it to be stable.

I’m thinking it may be best to go with the Polypipe Overlay lite and stick the 20mm engineered wood on it (I can’t imagine 2 mm will make that much difference).

Does anyone have any experience of using Polypipe Overlay lite and engineered wood & does this approach seem sensible?

If you can't use 20mm wood flooring it must be quite weak heating. Might be better off floating a 15mm board on a ufh underlay. Make sure who ever installs the ufh gets it flat or the wood floor will rock and move on it.

My neighbor recently opted for sewer treatment service NJ and was were happy with the hazel free work done by the professional team. You can also look for professional plumbing services to get your task done easily.
